Gloria Brea has been recognized at the II 'Gente de 10' Awards of eldiarioes Andalucía for her research work in mitochondrial rare diseases.

On October 30, eldiario.es Andalucía presented the II 'Gente de 10' Awards at a gala where Gloria Brea Calvo was recognized. Dr. Brea is a professor at the Pablo de Olavide University and a researcher in the Cell Biology group at the CABD. The award 'a scientist of 10 in cell biology' recognizes her career researching rare mitochondrial diseases. Specifically coenzyme Q deficiency syndrome, which is suffered by 600 people in the world. Gloria comments that 'the best award is helping families to have healthy children.
